Yash's entrepreneurial journey commenced in the school, where he exhibited a natural business acumen by selling accessories to friends. His business acumen at a young age of 15, marked by a remarkable 50% profit margin in accessories he sold. Yash ventured into the electronics business during college on online ecommerce companies.
However, fate intervened, redirecting him toward the expansive opportunities in the food industry.
Yash’s First Venture - The Birth of WOK 123
In 2013, Yash's vision materialised with the birth of WOK 123—an Asian Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) that rapidly expanded to five outlets in just two years. The acquisition of WOK 123 by a prominent Mumbai banker validated Yash's success, yet behind the scenes lay a turbulent journey of challenges testing his resilience.
Overcoming Setbacks and Building Processes
The entrepreneurial path was full of challenges, and Yash encountered his share. His overall experience in running a food outlet chain over the years, has given him learnings of not having a business which is staff dependent and complex operational firefighting. Undeterred, Yash transformed setbacks into opportunities, at every point with a systematic SOP towards the challenge, fortifying the foundation of his business through meticulous processes, all without a formal hospitality degree.

"Sugar lipss" – A Zero Operating Cost Luxury Bakery
Never content with standing still, Yash diversified further in 2015, launching "Sugar lipss," a luxury bakery cloud kitchen business that operated on a zero operating cost model with 12 dark kitchen outlets in Mumbai. This dark kitchen model was an industry revolution in innovation and remarkable operational strategy of “Tie-up with existing kitchens, standardising DNY’s own cake flavours and setting up processes for kitchens to create a cake order in less than 1 hour”.
The Path Enhanced - DNY’s Consulting Business
In the Year 2017, Consulting was an unexpected turn in Yash's journey, sparked by the acquisition of the Multi brand Cloud Kitchen business . Soon after this, an opportunity came in Yash’s path to help a young entrepreneur in starting his own F&B business, and with the “always accepting opportunity” mindset of Yash, led to his entry into the consulting vertical. This success ignited a spark, birthing DNY Hospitality, where Yash initially took a personal path in being on-ground for 3 full months, designing the kitchen, the menu, and overall SOP to operate the business.
From a zero commercial charged first project of DNY into consulting to now a consulting company helped 250+ F&B Brands in India and Abroad is a benchmark set for every entrepreneur who takes up opportunities and innovates through the journey.
